In 2003 The Goldie Hawn Foundation launched MindUP, a highly acclaimed school-based Social Emotional Learning programme. MindUP teaches children about key parts of the brain to help them develop the critical knowledge and skills they need to strengthen their mental health and emotional wellbeing through increased self-awareness, self-regulation and social and emotional competencies.
At the core is a 15-lesson curriculum-based firmly in neuroscience, that teaches students from 3 to 14 the skills and knowledge they need to regulate their stress and emotions, form positive relationships, and act with kindness and compassion.
Today with offices based in the UK, US and Canada the foundation is proud to be working with a growing network of schools globally.
We want MindUP to be available to all. We want every teacher in every school to be trained in MindUP and every home to experience the peace and joy that MindUP brings.
All children in the world are our most precious resource for a happier, healthier tomorrow. They deserve all we can give them to thrive and succeed in this world.
We believe that our young people deserve an inclusive world of kindness, love, joy, respect, equality and one that promotes interconnectivity to all humanity. Systemic racism has created injustices, and when our communities struggle, our children struggle as well. Our MindUP family believes that together we promote an equitable and inclusive world bringing us all together as one.
